I, Brad Long, also known as Haus, have a passion for fishing that started as a young child. My father, Brad, was the one who got me started into the fishing world, my life hasn’t been the same since. My first-time fishing was with my dad on the Manistee River below Tippy Dam. Waking up at 4 am to gear up and head over to the river wasn’t what every young child wanted, but that's what I wanted. Being young and not having any clue on really what’s going on in the world I knew when the fish were migrating up river that’s where we spent our time. Being no bigger than a toddler and catching fish the size of me made me want to fish every day. From early mornings to late evenings fishing was the only this I could think of. If it wasn’t for my father I wouldn’t be the angler I am today.
Throughout the last several years I have had the opportunity to travel throughout the U.S. and Canada. Having this opportunity has given me the chance to fish in many different places, and see the world in a different way. Being able to travel has made me a better and more knowledgeable angler. Better than I could have ever imagined. From anything in the Rockies or swinging in British Columbia, to float fishing in upstate New York and all the way to the west coast. My roots are here in the North West lower peninsula of Michigan. This little corner in Michigan gives us and every other angler the opportunity to fish multiple rivers that are like all the different parts of the country.
Fishing to us, my father and I, is more than just fishing. Being able to be outside and enjoying the great outdoors is what it is all about, from the birds chirping to the wildlife walking around. Just being able to fish in such a great place makes everything that much better, and of course we LOVE to have fun out on the water!!
